Some of you may have noticed that there are Google Ads at the bottom of the page. This is to help pay for the board. Every time someone clicks on a ad, it deposits a bit. Going to see how well it works.

But anyways, when I set it up... Google advised that they would check the board, and then send ads that matched our content.

Now there have been some ads for anxiety etc. But I crack up when I see some of them like dating services, text editors, PDF programs, and get this... Airplanes for sale!

I guess Airplanes for sale is not that odd since we have a few pilots on board. But what a broad range!

This could be really fun. Google's ad server searches boards for keywords and attempts to match ads that way. So repeated mentions of a keyword will cause it to serve matching ads. So, if we say "jello pudding" enough times, we will get ads that relate to that. Just nobody bring up their 1mpo_tence because I already get enough v_1ag-ra ads in my email. :shocked

I noticed depending on what forum you are on, the ads change. Funny thing is when you go to Club TF, the ads are for dating sexy rich singles! Now I wonder why that is??? :shocked

it's gotta be either because of 'porridge' or 'pets'. Or maybe it was my query to MP about her dog toys???:scratch
