Hello All,

I'm new to the forum after spending a number of years frequenting another Fear of Flying forum.

A little background... I was a childhood aviation geek who for some strange reason developed a fear of flying once I hit adulthood. I decided to conquer my fear of flying by learning to fly myself!

I am here to offer my support and knowledge to anyone who might need it. I have a lot of friends who fly everything from aerobatic bi-planes to huge airliners, and I'm not afraid to pick their brains.

Anyway, I'm glad to be here, and I would happy to help anyone in any way I can. Obviously, some of the highly technical airliner questions may be best left up to our friendly Southwest Captain, but I think I can be a pretty good resource for technical flying stuff as well.

By the way, I LOVE SOUTHWEST. Wonderful company, wonderful airline. I recommend it to all of you who might want to take that first little flight to get back in the air!

Take care!

Glad to be here. And remember, there are no stupid questions! Not all of us are airplane people, plain and simple. There are those of us on the forum who love to fly, those of us who do it for a living day in and day out, and those us us who can't even look at an airplan without getting ill.

If technical information or encouragement is what you need, I am more than willing to help. I know that being afraid to fly is a crippling thing, but conquering it is wonderful! If I can help someone achieve that in any small way, I'd be honored.

Talk soon

I'm from Orlando Florida but I fly mostly out of LAL in Lakeland. I've got friends there and free access to planes.

I've flown a bunch of stuff but the new toy belongs to an airline captain friend of mine. He recently bought a Piper Archer. It had a bunch of hail damage, so we've been stripping it and filling the dings. Nice plane though. SHe'll be a pretty girl once she's re-painted.

Ever been to Lakeland? It's the home of the Sun N' Fun fly in every Spring. You should make a point to come one year. It's a BLAST!!!!!!

Should not be a problem by then. By the way, my Dad works for Disney and I used to... If you need any park advice, I consider myself an expert. Feel free to ask any questions you may have in the NON Fear of flying forum. I can give pretty good advice on the suject since I've been to all the Orlando parks about 3.1 million times each
