Hello All,
I just chatted with Mark, and we came up with an idea...
First I want to say that I think we agreed that a little "shop talk" can be a great thing as long as it is done in a manner where the pilots are explaining things in such a way that board members can understand and feel that they can participate in the thread. As Ray says, "knowledge is power". From my experience, that is the absolute TRUTH!!!
I think where we can get into trouble is if the "shop talk" and "explanations" turn into a pure pilot conference.
To that end, our idea was this: Lets try to keep the FoF boards FoF related. If you have an aviation-related question specific to airplanes, airlines, etc... go ahead and post it on Ray's board. Ray is truly an expert and we are very grateful for his time and help! The level of understanding that Ray can provide folks with a FoF can prove to be one of the most valuable tools in our chest to aid in our recovery! There are also a number of other pilots who can feel free to chime in and add their own set of expertise once Ray has had a chance to respond.
As far as Non-FoF related topics, lets go ahead and use the "Club TF" room. The nice thing about that room is we can talk about anything we want, whether that's "hangar talk" or our pets and family members. As long as we follow the rules (No politics, off-color suff, or insults, etc) we can say anything we want there.
