Some of you may remember me from slightly less than 10 years ago. I was the guy who would not fly and would get the heebies just going to an airport. Well the other day I decided to list all the airports I have traveled to/through. When I was done remembering them all my list was a whopping 54. Who would have thought grounded to 54 in 10 years. Think you can't do the same? Think again. These last 10 years have been the richest of your life. Make the next 10 years the richest of yours.
I won't sit here and BS and say it was easy. It was not.. But, it was most certainly worth it.
Below is the list I compiled.. For those in Texas.. Yes. I actaully flew from Houston to Lafayette, LA (bosses decision) ha.

Ha, Mark! That's quite a list! Congratulations!! :sunshine::happyguy::tiphat::cheers:
My list for airports reached on commercial passenger flights since beating FoF is only half that long, though I've been to some of them a dozen times. If I count all the little GA airports I've flown into/out of, it would be welll more than 60, but I'm not trying to top anyone--least of all you, you world traveler!
I have been to a few exotic little airstrips in way NE Canada that no one's heard of, like Clyde River.

But more importantly, I have recovered completely. I'm a happy commercial passenger, and a very appreciative one.

My company has a site there. It was not until I saw a life sized statue of Marilyn Monroe outside the hotel that I found out her father was from there.
Not a place I want to live though. 6-7 hours of light in the winter months?? No thanks,.

Oh, that's interesting, do you work with oil/gas/petroleum related business then?
6-7 hours of light is LUXURY during the winter months. Try flying two hours north of Haugesund to my town, where we have 2 months of complete darkness during the winter months

Not directly oil and gas. More on the maritime side of things.
So if I told you that I spent most of my Norwegian time in Fosnavag you would a. know where it is and b. feel a little sorry for me? :)

a. not exactly, but i have a "sortofish" knowledge of where it is.
b. WELL WELL WELL - that depends on if you're a nature-loving person or not :tongue:
So far I've been to one airport since my official "ungrounding", and that is
LYR - Svalbard Airport, Longyear
Hopefully I'll have PLENTY more at the end of this year, being a student with pets and a job it's not easy finding time for travel concidering everything has to work out with someone watching the dog, free from work, no tasks to deliver and no exams in near future.

Well. My Fosnavag travels were in Jan and Feb. So. Not much to see or much daylight to see it in. I understand in the summer time it is quite nice. Not so much so in the winter months.

True, I give in! The weather can be unpleasant on the west coast at that time also.... Going down there this summer, hopefully to nice weather and lots of sun!
