I have gone from flying with no worries(japan/hawaii/bali etc)to being scared. I did it and flew bne to fiji last septembet which was really hard for me and on the flight report but i did it and hopefully the 1st flight since being scarred is the hardest. SINCE, i have gone goldy in australia to sydney, adelaide etc maybe 3or 4 return flights. But they are still 2 or 3 hr flights . I am going to Brisbane to singapore to phuket in 3 weeks.I have to fo it i am sick of being scared. I want to go bali march 2010 and hawaii march 2011 and hopefully visit a friend in europe this yr. I have take off and turbulence most!

Take off used to be a problem of mine but i watched a few take off vids on u-tube to get conditioned and spent time at the airport watching planes coming in and taking off, it was all so natural and effortless that gave me confidence. I also bought the book flying without fear by duane brown from amazon, it covers all aspects of flight and actually takes you step by step through a take off, when you understand more of whats going on you do tend to be more confident. Also the jello theory on this site expalins why an aircraft cant drop out of the sky, this article really gave me confidence over another fear. Now take off and turbulence dont really bother me, work at it and it can be overcome, good luck.
