I am flying from Gatwick to Orlando in a weeks time - how likely is it that we will experience turbulance?

Hi Toffee,

It would be difficult to predict at this time whether you will experience any turbulence, however, in Florida at this time of year there are usually some cumulus cloud build-ups along with a few thunderstorms that indicate unstable air. Most likely then during the last 20-30 minutes of your flight you will experience some light turbulence associated with these conditions. As to your enroute weather, some of the other savvy folks on this web site should be able to point you in the direction of some upper altitude maps that you can check the day prior that might give some indication of turbulence.

Have a great trip!!
