Mark and I want to try the chat out and decided that Monday, May 25, 2009, we are going to try out a group chat.
The chat is scheduled for 8:00PM EDT.
The password to the room is TFChat (and is case sensitive). You can access the chat via the FlashChat link next to the Log Out link above.

Hey, Scott, How do you log OUT of the FlashChat? I just did a quick "test", then went to another forum, thinking that would work. I don't see a chat "exit" button. I see that my name still shows up as being in the Chat. Yet, if I try to go back in, it asks for the password again.
Ah...I see it's gone now. Maybe it takes awhile to realize that you left? I even logged off the board, and when I came back and logged in again, it showed I was still in chat.

Yeah, that "Who's chatting" is a little behind in terms of logging off and on.
To get out of the chat room, you can either click on the Forum link or click on the red circle in the upper right hand corner of the chat window.

I missed it! Did the chat work okay? Looked good when I logged in.

I missed it! Did the chat work okay? Looked good when I logged in.We missed you, Rebecca! Actually, it was just Scott and I for the first hour, and then Mark joined us until 6:45PM PDT. Then I left, don't know if anyone else came in after me. We tried out the various options, like changing the color, size, italics, bold, of our text, adding little avatars, trying out the private messaging, saving a transcript of the chat.
We discovered there's a little glitch in my system, though not in Scott's (Mac) or Mark's (Google Chrome browser). I have Windows XP with IE-8, and when I clicked on the "?" for FAQ, it booted me out of the room. So, if you have a "frequently asked question" (and IE8)...you might want to ask Scott or Mark.
For anyone who plans to participate tomorrow afternoon, I'd recommend trying it out ahead of time to get the hang of it (if you've never done a chat before).
