We have started making plans for Flightfest 05!
Very excited, as this should be a great event.
WHAT: Flightfest allows an opportunity for folks on the board to meet each other in person. It also allows for the discussion, in person, the subject of Fear of Flying.
WHEN: April 22, 23, 24, & 25 - 2005
WHERE: Ontario California
SCHEDULE: NOTE: Plans are still evolving, and will change based on how many participate, but below are the basics.
FRIDAY, APRIL 22: Arrival day, that night dinner at Benihana - Ontario. This is a meet and greet time!
SATURDAY, APRIL 23: Shuttle vans will take us back to Ontario Airport where we are arranging tours with Southwest Airlines, and the Ontario Airport.
And then... that afternoon... a group flight aboard Southwest Airlines to Las Vegas! This is a 50 minute flight gate to gate. For now we have plans to stay at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, but this may change if another resort offers a better package. Saturday evening and Sunday everyone will be on their own to explore Vegas, with a Sunday Night dinner together.
SUNDAY, APRIL 24: On your own to explore Vegas, with a dinner together that evening.
MONDAY, APRIL 25: In the morning we will fly back to Ontario to connect to your flights home.
COST: A high estimate of $600.00 to include one night stay in Ontario, two nights at the MGM Grand, and round-trip airfare from Ontario to Las Vegas. As noted, this is a high estimate, and is subject to change depending on the number attending.
Gail at THE TRAVEL CENTER (909.787.6810) is working with us to arrange the accommodations in Ontario and Las Vegas on a group basis.
Southwest Airlines Group Reservations will be handling our flights to/from Vegas.
NOTES: Gail indicated that some may want to fly back home on Monday from Vegas. If this is the case, she can make those arrangements with you directly. She can also arrange flights from your home airport to/from Ontario. As well as additional accommodations and arrangements for those who choose to stay in Southern California and/or Las Vegas after the Flightfest.
