Hi there, everyone:
I hope this hasn't been posted here before now, but I'd love to share it with you. Maybe some of you are fans of The Golden Girls, like I am, and you've seen this. If you haven't, please check it out. It's an episode that deals with Dorothy facing her fear of flying, Blanche confronting a scary dream she had about being involved in a plane crash, and Rose conquering her fear of speaking in public. It will hit home with all of us dealing with the fear of flying - really, for anyone who has a fear that they can't shake off. Every time I hear this line from Dorothy, I die laughing: "We made a rule! No talking! It shakes the plane!" It is just like me to say something like that to my husband during a flight. I think it's good to laugh at our fears sometimes, because sometimes they are so ridiculous and fanciful. We let our minds get away from us.
Anyway, the episode is broken up into three parts on YouTube. I will post all three parts here, but in case you don't want to watch the whole thing, I will let you know where to watch the scenes on the plane. I hope you enjoy it!

(Part 1 - This clip just sets up the story of why Rose has to do a little public speaking (she's giving a eulogy at her aunt's funeral), and has all the girls talking about things that scare them.)

(Part 2 - We learn more about why Rose is afraid of public speaking, and how the girls all decide to go on a flight to face their own fears. The scene on the airplane begins at 4:57, but I highly recommend watching all of this clip. We can all relate so well to Dorothy here, trying to make excuses why she can't get on the plane. Watch for that flight attendant. She will KILL you, she's so funny!)
