As yall know Virgin Atlantic is my second favorite airline. Southwest will always be #1.

A bunch of frequent VA flyers have a website.

www.v-flyer.com/default.asp (http://www.v-flyer.com/default.asp)

I went on it some before my flight to England, and they were very helpful on what to expect.

They have a forum, and even trip reports. I posted mine there from here.

It is interesting to read their trip reports to see how they view flying. Makes you realize how everday it is.

They also placed us in their links! Great people!

My sister flew once on VA with the president of the airline. I guess it's tradition there that when a pilot is retiring, the president takes his last flight with him.

Now, you KNOW that flight was safe and non-turbulent as possible!

Actually ... every flight is as safe as possible. After all on EVERY single flight, the pilot is flying with the most important passenger on board: himself/herself.

:D

And as for the turbulence: if the Jetstream decides to poke down in the lower atmosphere, there's no amount of dodging the pilot can do ... the flight is going to be safe ... but bumpy.
