OK I will give it my best shot. I will assume the photo was taken recently so it will be the Northern hemishere either mid morning or mid afternoon and probably about 30,000 feet or higher.
I am braced for the pilot who took this to post and and shoot down all my theories. Nice picture though.

I dunno... Allen has his own plane and that glass looks like it couls be GA plexi... I'm bettng against th 30,000 feet plus theory. BUt Royd, you fly that high more often thean I do, so you would know the clouds better that I... So I'm going out on a limb here.
