:grouphug: You can do it, you can do it, you can do it :grouphug:
If there is reason to be angry, it is at the airline....
BTW, what is your new route, flight information and such? We still want to track you

Well you can think of it this way........if something was wrong they canceled the flight and now you won't be on that plane. The same thing happened to me, I got a new flight number and plane and a new connection time, I started to get the thoughts like you had but I put a stop to them and look I am here typing.
Maybe they are dealing with changing routes because of prices and so they discontinued one route you were taking. Everything will be fine!

If you were travelling on a bus or a train and they rescheduled it you wouldnt have any worries about the trip, your flight is the same only its safer than a bus or train. Your looking at every little thing and reading negatives into them as an omen you shouldnt make your trip. Thats normal, but irrational, try looking at all those little things in a positive light and you will then see the omens telling you to make your trip.

Have a great time! I predict that once you are under way, you will start to calm down.
Do you have the "meet the pilot letter" printed out? Be sure to print two of them, so you have one for each flight. :D
We will be looking forward to reading your trip report. I hope you have a digital camera too, so you can send us some photos of what your airport looks like! :) It can be comforting to take a few pictures of familiar places around home, so that you can look at them on the plane too. Good luck...you will be fine!!

I get that way too when I leave familiar friends and family...it's called "separation anxiety". You seem like a friendly person, who will make friends wherever you go...so
soon you will have some new friends in Canada...and maybe you will meet some interesting people on the plane also. :D
I'm glad it's been helpful participating here at Taking Flight, and please do write in and tell us all about your trip. :tiphat:

Her flight, (SWR 86) is also an Air Canada Flight (AC6821). I can't track it over the ocean, but I should be able to pick it up in a few hours when she enters Canadian airspace, (probably near Newfoundland, around 1:00 or so. She lands at 3:00 (or 3:11 if they don't make up time over the Atlantic.)
Here's a screenshot of the information I could find. I'll post a couple more this afternoon when I can "see" her flight. I hope she's relaxed and enjoying her flight!

Thanks Mathfox and Kimmar! I started a tracking thread for her over in the tracking forum. If you would copy your information to that thread, that would be great. That keeps all the tracking posts in one place, and makes it easier to find them months later).

I found her! She's at 40,000 feet, 489 miles away from Montreal, and 3284 miles from Zurich. I can't post a screen shot from this computer, but she's nearly there! I'll bet she got to see Iceland from the track they seemed to fly. She came into Canada over Labrador (that's NFLD) and is currently in Quebec. I bet they start their descent soon too.
I couldn't find any info on Flightaware, or FBOwebs, but Flightstats had the info.
All that being said, I can't find the tracking thread that Barb-San started! LOL
