Premier Status!

I flew back from Dallas today and scored my 30th United segment for the year, which gives me Premier status for the rest of the year and 2005! MadSci! Huey (where are you?)! I diddit!

I had to crow, I just had to. Trip report is over on the Flight Reports board.

It was funny, in Dallas, my brother had put together a big pile of fear-of-flying presents for me: A portable DVD player for in-flight entertainment, along with some DVD sets: "The Office" and -- get this -- "Arrested Development" (no, he didn't know about the board goings-on, he just thought I'd like the show!), the book "On A Wing and a Prayer: Interviews with Airline Disaster Survivors" (ha ha ha! thanks, bro...), and the book "Plane Insanity," which some here have recommended.

I'll settle down soon ... It's just ... I TOLD ya I'd do it, Huey, I TOLD ya! (Where are you?)

Congratulations Les! Welcome to the world of the Road Warrior. Upgrades aren't far behind!

Last week put me at the Gold Medallion level with Delta. I wish I could just stop here because it would take 50,000 additional miles to reach Platinum. Unfortunately, I'll end up somewhere in between which is just a waste of flights.

Crow all you want Les. It is indeed a proud moment for us fearfuls. I believe Kelley should at least make Silver Medallion this year herself if she hasn't already. Two new Road Warriors, :woohoo

Congrats Les! I just re-upped with American for another year of gold status myself. My only regret is that, like Ken, I still have flights this year which are essentially "wasted" as they won't get me to Platinum status and they don't have "Gold Plus."

Anyway, enjoy your upgrades and preferred seating and pre-boarding!!!!

It looked like, because of my job change, I wouldn't make Silver status for next year, but I have been ordered to Norfolk, VA, next week, and all they had were full coach/first class seats available.

That should put me close enough to the miles I need to get SM again.

AND, I still have my complimentary Crown Room membership.

Yep, I crossed over into Silver about a month ago. I'm sitting at 60K miles on Delta now (need 100K for Gold) with only 8 more flights booked between now and the end of the year.

Anyone want to trade my 44K Northwest miles for Delta miles???? I would be GOLD then!

Ummm, you need 50K for Gold. (25K is Silver.) Are you sure you're looking at Medallion Qualification Miles?
