:)Hi guys,

I am now at the airport waiting for my flight. So one and a half more hour to go. I thank you guys for the support which have been very helpful. I am still nervous and my palms are still sweating. ButI do have the courage and the techniques that you shared to fight my fear. I will wrte moreonce I'm on the plane. It will be ~5 hours from Toronto to Vancouver and then another 15 hours to Sydney. THis will the longest flight I have ever been on!!!

Hello fellow Canadian!

I've been to the Pearson Airport, Westjet flies out of terminal three (I think) the international terminal. I flew to Toronto and back (Ottawa) as my first flight on a "big plane" when I started working on getting over my fear of flying. I remember the terminal being *busy*....

Pushback took so long that my husband started joking with me that we were going to be taking off backwards! LOL

I've also flown from Ottawa to Vancouver as I have family out west, and as I recall the flight is only 4 hours, not five. Once you've got that on under your belt you're going to be feeling *great* for your flight to Sydney!

I'm sure you are well on your way by now.

Have a great flight!

Hi everyone,

I wrote a message right after I landed, but somehow it is not being shown. Well, everything went well, the flights are good except the landing at Sydney made me very nervous because the wind was so strong where the 777 was banking side to side. Overall, the 777 is a great and a very stable aircraft. In comparison with the AA, the actual fear is just so small!

I will be leaving Sydney on Saturday, I am not anxious yet but I do think about the flight now, hopefully it is not windy that day!! Will post again at that time.

YAY!! I agree with you about the AA. I have to fly again in July. Going to New Zealand from AU but it'll only be a short flight. Looking forward to it but not looking forward to the winter there! BRRRRRR!!!!

Yes AA is so much worse than flying! Glad you had quite good flight, I love the 777 and like yourself hate landing in windy conditions. Have a good trip on Saturday:)
