I never in a million years thought I'd hear myself say that! LOL

I'm actually very calm, and not allowing the "what if's" to creep up on me. I'm working on thinking of the airplane like a big bus, and I'm not afraid to get on any bus, (even though I *have* had a close call on a bus, bus nearly vs. train...)

I think the thing that has helped me the most, and may be my "magic bullet" is the discussion we had on here about air being a fluid, and the Jello thing. I feel like when I look down at the earth while I'm flying now, I'm going to picture it sort of like looking down at a coral reef while scuba diving. There's something "solid and supportive" underneath this big plane, and it's holding us in place. I'm also happy about the discussions about turb, and how a plane is flying "within" the air and "going with it." I kindof think of "Crush" in the moving Finding Nemo, when he was entering and exiting the underwater stream (for speed). He bumped in, and bumped out, but he knew once he was *in* the stream he could just go with it, and get where he wanted to go fast! LOL

Probably not a *great* analogy, but it works for me! LOL

I'll send a flight report from Orlando, when I get over being stunned that there's no snow there! (We have 8 foot tall snowbanks in my neck of the woods right now!)

Thanks for all your help, you've made a believer out of me! I even thought I might just always have to be a bit nervous when I fly, but now I'm beginning to think I might just learn to *love* flying. Now *that* could get expensive! LOL:sunshine:

That's great! I found that the Jello analogy really helped me as well. I started paying attention to all the little bumps and jolts you feel while driving a car, and I rarely think any of those are scary, so why should a few bumps in a vehicle that's much bigger and safer than your car be scary? Have a great time in warm, sunny Florida!

Had a rough morning yesterday, I just couldn't seem to shake the AA, but even then I was only a 1 on a scale of 1 to 10...

Then I ate lunch, and started to feel *alot* better. I realized I had only eaten 2 pieces of toast since 6 a.m. and I think the AA was being set off more by that.

One more reason to eat before I fly! LOL (I usually want to puke, not eat, but I'm gonna be over that now! LOL)

Today is a good day, no AA at all. I can't wait to get on the plane with my dh and kids and start another family adventure!

28 more days for me and I'm starting to feel the butterflies. Just little ones. So is that the AA? Or excitement! LOL!!

I'm excited, I can't wait...... but I'm scared! :mg:

When do you fly out??

AA=Anticipatory Anxiety (so yes, butterflies...LOL)

We fly on Saturday morning, 11:35 Westjet from CYOW to KMCO (Ottawa, Canada to Orlando, Land of Mickey Mouse...)

I'm feeling pretty good again today, so I curious what I'll be like at the airport.

Don't think about what you'll be like at the airport. Think about what you'll be doing when you get to your destination?
