Captain Hutch pls help-i think i wanna cancel tomorrow's flight!!!!

:( Captain Hutch I hope you remember me. I have a flight for tomorrow via Philippine airlines from LAX to Manila. Im so scared to travel with my son. I think I just wanna cancel it. Ive gone to this website and checked the weather or turbulence forecest currently. I dnt know what it means but there were lots and lots of red circles. we also will have a strong headwind thats why our flight will take sooooo long. I dnt know what to expect nor what to do. My baggages are ready but I am not. I think ill literally go crazy.

Pls help me Captain Hutch. This is killing me.

Would you know what these maps mean Catain and if u can interpret them for me?

Hi Kim,

Yes I remember you! I think that you will be fine for you flight. I checked the maps and it looks to be smooth for what I believe your route of flight to be. Those red circled areas, which show isolated turbulence are easily avoided by changing cruise altitudes, which is what your pilot will do--and they also are south of your flight path. The blue dots show smooth air reported by planes flying the routes today. All the reports I saw were smooth air.

I am sorry that you are going through this but the people on this website have very good advice on how to deal with the anxieties of flying. Remember the pilots would rather fly in smooth air too so they will do their best to find the most comfortable cruise altitude. Make sure you give them your letter so the pilot can give you an idea of what to expect. Good luck flying with your son--I think the flight attendants can give you a hand there if they are not too busy.
