Congratulations, Chris! I'm jealous! I've been waiting to see how it turned out for you.

Was it less scary than regular flying, given that you could see where you are going?

I love being the driver and hate being the passenger even in cars...so I have always wondered how I would like it.

Did you have a contingency plan for if you panicked while up there?

Details!!

Good job! Are you going to do one a month/week? How much is it? How many hours do you need to become a gen aviation pilot?

My wife gave me the thumbs up $$$ for weekly lessons, but I havent done anything besides get permission:blink

Again, congrats!! Look forward to the report!

The lessons cost about £95.00 for an hour. I think you need 45hours minumum to get a privite pilots liecence. So your looking at £4500 which sounds like a lot but would probably be over a couple of years. The instuctor told me you need a minimum of a lesson every month and that 2 a month is best. I am not sure when I am going to have another as I am very busy with work but it was very interesting. My trip report should now be in the trip reports section.
