There was an artilcle in newspaper last week about a turbulent flight.

It would appear that the cabin crew refused to let a child go to the bathroom even though she was really desperate.

Seat belt signs had been on for around 2 hrs and the mom said the flight was not so bumpy

The child ended up making a mess on the seat. The parents are trying to sue the airline for loss of the childs dignity!!!

You know, that's a tough one... I have two little girls, so I feel sorry for the parents and child who were in that situation. But let me pose this question... Would those same parents be filing a lawsuit if the Pilot had turned off the seat belt sign and they had hit sudden chop and that same child hit the ceiling and broke an arm. I'll bet they would!

Many people are worried about a plane crash. That's understandabe. They are a VERY SCARY thought if you let your mind go there too much. BUt if you read they NTSB reports, (and they are available for everyont to read) the real danger is being up and about when the plane hits chop. While rough air will not hurt the plane, it can, and does hurt people who are not in their seats with their belts buckled. That's why they make that announcement to keep your belt on when you are seated even if the seat belt sign is off!!

People who fly need to remember, the crew is in charge of that airplane and is responsible for your safety. Bottom line.. if you look at the safety record of the airline industry, they do a heck of a job doing it.
