Of course I havent even thought about packing yet but I leave in the morning for 9 days on the road to Nashville and New York City.

I posted my flights on the tracking board if anyone wants to track me on 12/14, 12/19 and 12/22. :)

Monica - let me know about the charity event as soon as you can. They only have 9 seats left for the VIP section and are holding 4 for me until tomorrow.

I'll try to pop in when I can but my schedule on the road is never predictable!

Hugs to everyone,
Kelley

Kelley, I just e-mailed you---we're set. But I want to let everyone know that you just made a 17 year old kid (and her much older mom) very happy. Kelley managed to score tickets to a fundraiser with one of my daughter's favorite singers. I get to finally met Kelley and end up with major mommy points.Thanks. How could you not like the people on this board? :thumbsup :tiphat :flowers Mon

Hey, Mon -- not fair --- I wanna meet Kelley, too!

Geez, you people.

However, Mommy Points -- "priceless"!!!

Kelley - get that kid better and get yourself on that plane!

HOORAY, Monica. Cant wait to meet you!

I have already had to change hotels since I have been in Nashville - always fun! What a trip this has been already.

My daughter was still feeling a little ill last nite when I left and was of course milking it a bit... (Insert knife directly into my heart and TWIST hard). I left feeling very guilty and felt like the world's WORST mother as I sat on the plane from CHS to ATL. When I got to ATL I called home to check on her and she got on the phone sounding ALL perky and said she wanted me to bring her a Strawberry Shortcake toy INSTEAD of a stuffed animal this trip. Hmmm...... Kids!

We were delayed leaving CHS because our plane was late getting there. Once we approached ATL we were put in the holding pattern for awhile. The FO came on the PA and told us that we were on approach to ATL and were on "radar vector". WHAT the heck does THAT mean??? Once we landed we sat for a long time waiting to taxi to the gate.

I remember now why I hate flying at nite so much. Yes the lights below are pretty BUT I like to see how far I am from the ground when I fly and that is hard to do at nite. Also when on the ground it is hard to distinguish lights. When we were waiting to taxi in, it looked like we were sitting at the end of a runway and the planes were taking off directly over us. Yikes!

The flight to Nashville was slightly turbulent and the Capt had on the seatbelt sign for most of the trip. I'm getting used to this flight being bumpy - wonder if it is because we fly over the mountains? We bounced a bit on landing and my seatmate remarked that it just LOOKED cold outside. Boy was she right! 22 degrees when we landed which is FREEZING for me (hey, I went to college in Orlando for a REASON!).

So anyway, I am here until Sunday then barring any sick kids I am off to my first visit to the Big Apple until Wednesday. Whoooooooo Hoooooooooo!

Ack! Off to a lunch appointment and sound check.

:)
