Passenger Mark has been counting down the days to spring, practically since last spring ended. And even I have been chomping at the bit to get outside.
What is your favorite thing about spring? What can you not wait to do?
The building I live in was built very poorly, with no insulation, and the windows leak like nobody's business. So we keep them sealed up with plastic in the winter, which helps the gas bill but makes me feel like I'm being kept in Glad wrap. I can't wait take the plastic off and OPEN THE WINDOWS! I'm also looking forward to late spring, when I can plant my herbs again.

OPEN WINDOWS!!!!! I love nothing better than to open the windows and let the breeze flow through the house. I do it as soon as the sun starts shining warmly (even when it's a little too cool for short sleeves). I don't shut the windows until we're all sweating the kids beg for the air conditioning.

Spring is the season when all the cars turn yellow. We are in the midst of it now!

I like the "babbling brook" section that starts at measure 31 of the first movement. That Vivaldi really knew how to orchestrate.

We should start a support group. I torture my family similarly every year.
Do you also leave the windows open waaaaay into the fall so everybody freezes while you say "It's so delightfully BRISK!!!"
Stuffy we are not.

HAPPY SPRING, EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happyguy:
Rebecca, I do the same thing with the windows in the spring and the fall. It drives Matt crazy, especially because all winter, I am whining that it's cold inside and asking him to crank up the heat.

The arrival of baseball season!
I can't wait to pretend that this is going to be the Phillies' year as I spread out in front of the T.V. to watch them lose again.

What's not to like?
Everything is coming back to life.
You can get out and about without looking like a stuffed bear.
You don't have to worry about driving on ice
All the dead trees don't look dead anymore
Everyone is out
You don't have to rush home to try catch daylight
Typically you loose weight
Skin no longer looks like notebook paper
Barbqs
Swimming
Hiking
Camping
And sorry for this last one... well really I'm not... but the female clothing attire is MUCH more eye appealing in the warmer weather! :D
Mark in Nashville, where it is sunny and 76 degrees right now!

Pollen from the trees
Pollen from the grass
Pollen from the weeds
Hives due to pollen
Having to cut grass, pull weeds, trim hedges
Thunderstorms
Tornadoes
I do agree on the women's attire though.
/ It'll be about 85 degrees here today /
I agree with all BUT the women's attire. Washed my car off Wed afternoon and it was completely yellow again at 7am Thursday morning. Abbey is sick as a dog from allergies and that is even with 2 doses a day of Allegra. :( Poor redheads just are so much more sensitive to everything, I guess.

I am with Acura on the start of baseball. I have watched many of the spring training games and look forward to the season starting.
I also second what Mark said about the dress attire.
Partly cloudy. High 78F. Winds WNW at 5 to 10 mph. <----thats motorcycle weather!!!!!

What's all this I'm hearing about women's tires?
Sure, when spring comes, it's time to finally put away those clunky snow tires and don one's festive warm-weather tires. I enjoy that as much as the next person.
But I didn't know we had gone so far as to have separate tires for men and women!
Isn't it bad enough that they've had to endure generations of discrimination? I thought we had finally moved past the stereotype of "women drivers", and that gender equality had now been reached behind the wheel.
But no. Apparently we're still hanging on to the outmoded belief that someone needs a "special" tire just because they're a wo...
...excuse me for a moment.
What's that?
Women's whats????
Oh. That's different, isn't it?
Nevermind (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emily_Litella).

Okay, I never used to be affected by the pollen. I always felt kind of smug about that, I guess. But yesterday morning (after having the windows open all night and fans blowing in the "fresh" air), I awoke to a head full of "stuff," a sore throat, a chest cough, etc. And like Kelley, the cars are suddenly covered in yellow. It's gonna be bad this year! Can't tell if I'm getting a horrible cold or if it's allergies. So I'm taking Robitussin and keeping the windows open!! (so far)

Yesterday I ran to the store and I felt like I was driving thru a sandstorm. The wind was blowing enough to pick up clouds of pollen - it was nuts!
