Hello all,
This is my first post. I have always had a fear of flying but managed to cope ok(sort of), until my last flight 2 years ago from NY to Lon when there was really bad turberlance. I am due to fly from NY to Lon in June and cant stop thinking about the flight. This is a really great opportunity for me to travel and work for 3 months but I am considering pulling out because of the flight. It is the first time I have flown alone. I have read about the book mentioned on this site and really want to know if anyone knows if it is available in the UK. I have had no luck finding it.
I will continue to read through the threads as I have been getting loads of useful info and tips.
Does anyone have experience of the fearful flying courses offered by airlines. Do they help?. I have been considering doing a BA or Virgin course.

Hope to hear from someone soon.

Hi Sabrina,
Welcome to Taking Flight!
In answer to your question, if you click on the banner ad at the bottom of this page "Flight Training for Passengers", you will go to Capt.Ray's site where you can read more about the book. It can be purchased through Amazon.com. According to the website,
"
Or, simply go to amazon.com and search for This Is Your Captain Speaking, find me as the seller titled as captainstark and order through Amazon. All orders shipped via PRIORITY MAIL to US destinations. International sales take about a week to 10 days (UK and Canada)."

Hope this helps! :)
