Thanks for all your support.
The flight from ATL to TPA was great, with only a little turbulence. I wasn't that worried about turbulence anyways, my main concern was the cabin pressure and if I was going to have trouble breathing in there.
After I realized that I could breath fine up there, I was fine; Just knowing that took a big load off of me. The flights going and returning were great. Once we got going I was fine, but I got really nervous before each flight; I refused to let my fear take over, I was so determined not to give in.
I'll probably take some more trips soon, and, I'll do fine then too.
I give thanks to the "LORD" and to all the people who supported me on this site..

Way to go!
Congrats! I am so happy for you. You are in inspiration. Hopefully I will be able to have your strength. Now, just pump me up for my total of over 5 hours of flying to Mexico with a connection.. Time for you to cheer me on! Takeoff and turbulence are my scary things. Any tips on how you calmed urself down before the flight? Like when u said u refused to let ur fear take over, how did u do it? I am just afraid of a "surprise" on a flight. Like an emergency landing or being diverted to somewhere else. I know it would just be an inconvience and nothing other than that. Guess after it happens to me, I will realize that I lived and all will be ok. Let me know some tips for calming down though, thanks in advance, and congrats

Thanks!
I found my strength in the Lord. The main thing is the preparation before the flight. I found that by praying and meditating on the Lords promises a great peace would come over me.
The real problem behind all of our phobias is the fear of death; If we deal with this matter first we will overcome all our fears. I dont mean to cause offense to anyone, I'm just being honest.
If you will not learn to trust, you will never truly be at peace. If you think about it, there is almost certainly other fears in your life that is also causing you great emotional anxiety. All of these fears mount up into a great mountain and block our way to a more abundant and peaceful life.
It's not what we do, its what we believe. Faith comes by hearing the word of God, and, reading is a type of hearing. I started reading the bible a few years back, and I haven't been the same since. Its a constant growing process, like being "born again" only this time in the spirit; you start to think differently, and, you begine to "TRUST" that a greater hand than the hands of man is guiding you and lifting you up above all your anxieties and fears.
I was afraid of flying, but I did it anyways. When Jen8 and all you others on this board ensured me that the air was fine up there, I trusted that you were being honest, so, I took a leap of faith, but It was the Lord who gave me the strength to believe and led me to this site.
When Peter seen Jesus walking on the water, he said "Lord if that be you, bid me to come to you" and Jesus said "come". What faith that was for Peter to get out of the boat. He had his eyes on one greater than himself, and thus was able to take a leap of faith. If wasn't untill he took his eyes of of Jesus that he started to sink; of course Jesus caught him and calmed his fears again....
Hope this helps!

Yes bootcamp.. I see how having a belief system can help. However, not everyone has those. I also know people with belief systems that are scared to fly. I find the power of a couple 24 ounce beers helps me fly.
I am glad it works for you and I share some of the same views, but I also see a potential for debate.
