Would you not just know it???

This afternoon I started feeling like my legs were achy. I got a little chilly...so I went to take a hot shower. Don and I had been out several hrs. so I thought maybe I was just tired.

Checked my temp. before the shower. 98.9 degrees. Not bad.

Went to watch t.v. in the den with Don. Got cold and started to chill. Checked temp. again. 100.2

Right now, it is fluctuating between 99.5 and 100.4. I have taken Tylenol and it's not doing magic as of yet.

I have a mild sore throat, localized sort of up, near my ears on both sides. Not really like a typical cold. My joints are not aching at the present time, but maybe that is due to all the Tylenol I've taken.

This had sooooooooooo better NOT be the flu! I know it is going around in my school and I had a student yesterday with a temp. of 102 that would not go home due to it being 8th period. He stayed in my room 40 minutes and I was exposed. I can't get it that fast though, right? If it was the flu he had...I can't come down just like that with it can I?

I'm freaking out just a tad. Don has had a bit of an upper resp. thing this past week. He's been coughing a lot and he still sounds hoarse. Hoping I just maybe have a "cold" or something from him and not the flu. Can't deal with the thought of being sick this week prior to my Disney trip!

LIQUIDS!

I think if you got it from your student it was most likely any exposure you had with him in the preceding days from yesterday. I suppose it doesn't matter who you got it from, but hopefully you've just got a touch of whatever it is and will wake up feeling better tomorrow.

If not, I find whiskey and tea helps. You'll still be sick, you just won't care so much!

Think about going to walk-in clinic ASAP today for if it is the flu, there are drugs that can cut off at the pass in the early stages. If not, they can still give you good advice to get well quickly!

Good luck!.

Turns out to be an ugly sinus infection. Fever has gone away as of today, although I was up all night feeling like I was roasting. Normally when I have a fever I chill the whole time I have it, but last night I was so hot you could have used for me a griddle.

I'll be soaking in the antibiotics all week in order to prepare for my trip. I'm still taking Tylenol to help with the fever and in general, try to make myself feel better.

Kind of like BillyO's rec. on the whiskey and tea...hmm...sounds tempting. My grandfather used to think if you gargalled some Jack Daniels when you had a sore throat, it would cure it. :D Haven't tried that myself, but another night like last night, and I'd be tempted.
