A woman was leaving the shop today, and as she was walking out she asked
"where is the door?"
Are you sure she wasn't just asking for a book (http://www.amazon.co.uk/Door-Magda-Szabo/dp/0099470284/sr=1-14/qid=1169148585)?

Jeff, just a little side note of thanks here ... one time you put up an Amazon link for a book about a pilot back in the day, and under "You Might Also Like" there was Zero Three Bravo and Flight of Passage, both of which I had to order! Zero Three Bravo is stunningly superb, and my husband is even reading it and liking it, which is a true compliment, because he only reads stuff like FAR/AIM and Instrument Flying Handbook and New Scientist and Dr. Dobbs and such.
But back on track, yes, as a whole we humans are capable of some pretty interesting behavior. That Verizon customer service recording Leslie put up still gives me the chills to think about.

I love, when I'm on my express bus (which states in HUGE ltrs and numbers, not only on the front of the bus but on the side of the bus as well) people get on, they ask, is this the 5x (5x is # I take to get home)..I'm like duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh !!!!! Oh..and the kicker...omg..this kills me:
The local Manhattanites can't seem to tell the difference between the huge "M" and "X" on the bus next to the number. They always get on and ask if this bus stops @ so-n-so..duhhh !!! and not to mention the fact that our express buses are nice coach buses, quite a difference from the local bus. I'm expecting, that one day, a person will board my express bus, pay the big price difference ($2.00 local, $5.00 express) and than as we leave Manhattan they realize they are on the wrong bus  ....no way the are getting off now, have to wait till they get to Staten Island.

If you want to see stupidity in it's most natural form, work at an amusement park. In rides. I did that for 2 summers and I come out of that place with a whole new view of the human race. Questions like: "What time is the 10 o'clock laser light show?" was the norm.

I hear ya! 7 years at Disney and I started in rides at EPCOT. The number of people that would ask me if we could do something about the rain always floored me. How dare it rain on THEIR vacation!
Annie - where did you work? Did you get the Brazilian tour groups up there? Scott and I are Disney veterans. Ah the stories we could tell...

Great video Chelle! "The president's from Texas; he's gotta be right."
I worked at an amusement park as a waitress for two summers. Once a man bought an ice cream and asked me if I could please heat it up a bit.
One day another man -who came for dinner at 9.45- wanted his money back because he missed the 10 pm fireworks show. And I can go on with many other stories..:)
