First off I am very happy to see that the cancer death rate is declining.
Second, I am utterly appalled at the number ... 550,000+ per year????? Am I getting this right? Half a million people PER YEAR in the US ALONE die of cancer?

Colon cancer is the one that declined most of all ... all considered it's not surprising, in fact, all told it's probably the most unnecessary and most preventable type of cancer.
