Sunrise over the East Coast

I rarely take the early morning flights since I am sooo not a morning person but I flew home on the 620am out of PHL headed to ATL on 12/31. I have several great sunset pix from previous flights but sunrise really took my breath away.

Here is sunrise somewhere over the East Coast on the last day of 2006.

Gorgeous, gorgeous view and you can ONLY see it from the AIR! Another great benefit to flying!

Wow, Kelley, that is breathtaking! Thanks for being awake enough so early to snap a picture to share! I don't recall ever taking a flight that early! It's really cool how the sun seems to illuminate the clouds from underneath! You're right...that's a view reserved for those who are in the air.
