First off... Happy New Year everybody!
A little over a year ago, if someone had told me that I would have been on 23 flights, including a transatlantic crossing... I would have most likely run. If they had said that I would have started up a FOF Website, and Forum... my jaw would have dropped. But here we are...
Kind-of odd how things work out, but I have to say that I am happy with how things worked out.
Not only am I happy about the flights that I made in 2004, but the friends that I made, and met that are a part of this board.
Looking back, I am very thankful for the blessings I have received.
Now... looking forward... more flights, meeting some of my friends that are here, and making new friends here.
Some time back there was a post about a "circle of people" associated with this board. With any group that occurs. Whether it is on the Internet, or in everyday life this tends to happen. Folks that frequent the board more often get to know each other, and become friends. This IS as good thing! But no one should ever feel that it is a "closed" circle. Think of it as an open circle, where you are free to join.
So for 2005 I am going to ask everyone reading this message, whether registered or not, to NOT hold back from jumping in.
Ezboard shows that we have 98 members. Of that about 5 are duplicates. So that indicates that 93 individuals have signed up for membership in this forum. EACH of those 93 individuals, and the lurkers who have not registered are important.
I want every person I can reach that has a roadblock for flying to free themselves and experience flight. To experience travel, new places, and the ability to own their life's. Why??? Because it is a tremendous feeling of empowerment, that no-one should be denied, or for that matter have to pay hundreds of dollars for.
So while you may feel that this is a "closed" group, please understand that WE ARE NOT! You are welcomed. Anyone truly seeking help or to help those with the Fear of Flying are welcome.
That is my 2005 Message!
Happy Flying!
Mark
P.S. Debbie is organizing a Flightfest in Phoenix, what better place to start than there!!!!
