Okay, I officially understood nothing except "ET."

Unless Emmerdale Farm is like Cold Comfort Farm. I saw that movie and indeed shivered.

Multicolored Swap Shop sounds awesome!

I am pretty excited about the Christmas Story marathon myself. I really hope that someone gets me that leg lamp one year.

Uncle Buck - old film in which John Candy plays a hapless babysitting uncle with predictable results.

Hey, I like that movie. John Candy was a comic genius.

"A lot of people hate this hat. It angers a lot of people, just the sight of it."

Did it come with the bird, or did you have to buy that separate?

One Man And His Dog - Televised sheepdog trialling. Farmers stand in a field whistling at sheepdogs who in turn chase a flock of sheep around a series of obstacles and get judged for it. Of all of them, that looks like the easiest on the pysche.

Sean got that hat, birds and all, from Lorikeet Airlines, Erika. Any good Gallery surfer knows that!

... then they argue loudly and go and have a knees-up in the Queen Vic (pub).Okay, I found this massive online dictionary of British colloquialisms.

How to Understand Kari's Posts (http://www.peevish.co.uk/slang/)

knees-up Noun. A lively party. {Informal}. E.g."There's going to be a knees-up at Jenny's tonight, it's her birthday."

Except ... what the heck ...

skypilot Noun. A priest, vicar or similar preacher of religion.
