Just a note from a cautiously optimistic teacher...It's snowing in TN! Yippee!!!
Of course, at the first sighting of a snowflake, all the kids started jumping up and down (and so did we teachers). Even though it's pretty, and it is exciting to all of us here, we know we aren't going anywhere until 2:40 pm.

Why do people always stock up on bread and milk? Why not stock up on something GOOD?
When it's going to snow in Illinois, I stock up on cookie ingredients and beer.

Don and I spent my "snow day" (rather, a "snow afternoon") doing nothing except taking a long nap!
I drove home through some minor snow, around 1 inch on the ground near Spencer, TN where we live...in McMinnville, TN where I work, there actually wasn't any snow. Hmmm...but we got out anyway. Surrounding counties were closing, so we did too. Fine by me!
Don and I snoozed until it was dark outside, then we had dinner, addressed some Christmas cards, had hot chocolate and are now about to hop back in bed, watch the news and go to sleep...again. :) I get soooo exhausted in winter time. I think I'm part bear as it seems I just want to hibernate.
