Does anyone on here have any idea why my ears would just spontaneously turn bright red? They will actually look beet red at times and feel hot to the touch. I don't have high blood pressure, so I'm sure that is not the cause of it. They do it most often when I'm in a high-anxiety situation. I've had it off and on for awhile, but my husband noticed it and was a little concerned. I've not asked my doctor yet, but may on my next routine visit.

Or, have eaten spicy foods, been on the telephone too long, or just seen a naked stranger.

Do you blush easily too (facial)? I used to always get teased about my face turning red when I was in high school...which of course made it get even redder. Here's a link for you... on blushing (http://members.aol.com/nonverbal3/blush.htm );)

I do turn red easily. If embarrassed or whatever, my face just glows like a neon sign. I read online that it can happen to your ears as well. Weird!
On my last bp check at the doctor, it was 115/72. It is usually right around that, very low. I have a little gauge I take it with at home, and can also check it manually (used to work in home health). It's always low. When I get up in the morning, I have actually gotten readings such as 90/60! I thought I was dying. My doctor told me that's great bp readings, so I'm hoping that I can keep this up. Don't want to see it rising as that indicates a trouble spot.
St. Pete Mark, glad to know I'm not the only one that has this issue! My ears get that way when I get excited sometimes too...as in seeing the naked stranger thing you mentioned!
