Hi all,

I'm just now home and it is 2:01 a.m.

My father passed away of a heart attack tonight. He and I had just spoke on the telephone about 30 minutes prior. He was on the phone with his brother when he died. We rushed to his house when my uncle called and said he had tried to dial him back and got only a busy signal. We went there and had to kick in the door but found him passed on.

It's all not sinking in quite yet, but I thought I would let you all know.

I am so, so sorry to here this.

At least you did get to talk to him. How unnerving it had to be for your uncle to experience that. Oh my goodness.

My thoughts are with you.

Hi guys,

I am checking in and doing email, etc. because we could not schedule my father's visitation until Thursday with the funeral on Friday at 2 p.m. We had to wait on one of his nephew's to be contacted who was hunting in Colorado. Once they got him, he made arrangements to fly home and leave the group he was hunting with.

This has been tough. Being an only child is difficult at a time like this. But luckily, my husband has been a great help to me and so has my mother. My parents were divorced, but had remained friends throughout all of it. So, she has also helped me tons.

The funeral home where my father is has a website that lists obits, so I decided that I would put the link on here for you all. I had the option of putting up a picture of him, so I found one that I had taken of him a year or two ago. http://www.highfuneralhome.com/obit.htm

Thanks to each one of you that sent me well-wishes. It really means a great deal. You are a fine bunch of people that I am glad to be associated with.

Courtney...I just dropped in for a few minutes to see what was going on here, and was so sorry to hear about your Dad. It must have been such a shock to find him like that. I've been driving all around this county here...out to the Falls, etc....so ironic to think that your Dad was in charge of the roads! It is such a small world sometimes. I'm thinking of you, and send my prayers and thoughts to you and your family.

Oh, Courtney, I don't know what I can say except to tell you how very sorry I am. What a horrible schock! I'm so very sorry.

Thank you for sharing the obituary. I know you will miss him so much.

Please know you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Love,
