My family hosted a foreign exchange student from Iceland when I was in high school, and the language sounds so cool.

I love to learn new words!

I'd love to learn some Icelandic words. I am Italian, and I can teach you some Italian words if you like.:)

I don't know if it really falls under "health and wellness", but sure, count me in too!

I say we start with the basics. How do you say "hello" and "goodbye"? What about "thank you" and "please"?

:tiphat:

Mein Hut er hat drei Ecken!
Drei Ecken hat mein Hut!
Und hat er nicht drei Ecken
So ist er nicht mein Hut!

We don't seem to be learning very much Icelandic. In lieu of this, I will teach you all how to count to 100 in Esperanto. What can I say, I'm a woman of many hidden talents :lol:

1 = unu
2 = du
3 = tri
4 = kvar
5 = kvin
6 = ses
7 = sep
8 = ok
9 = nau
10 = dek
11 = dekunu
12 = dekdu
13 = dektri
14 = dekkvar
15 = dekkvin
16 = dekses
17 = deksep
18 = dekok
19 = deknau
20 = dudek
21 = dudekunu
22 = dudekdu

By now I hope you're all smart enough to have got the pattern.
30 = tridek
40 = kvardek
50 = kvindek
60 = sesdek
70 = sepdek
80 = okdek
90 = naudek
100 = cent.

I shall now teach to sing in Maori (what can I say - multitalented, me :) ):
E ihoa, Atua!
O nga Iwi, Matoura
Ata whakarongona
Me aroha noa
Kia hua ko te pai
Kia tau to atawhai
Manaakitia mai
Aotearoa!

Ona mano tangata
Kiri whero, Kiri ma
Iwi Maori Pakeha
Rupeke katoa
Something something something something
La la la la la la la la la la la
Kia ora marire
Aotearoa!

Oma rabiti, Oma rabiti, Oma oma oma
Oma rabiti, Oma rabiti, Oma oma oma
Bang bang bang goes the farmer's gun
Oma rabiti, Oma rabiti, Oma oma oma!

And I'll teach you some Italian tongue-twisters

Trentatrè trentini
entrarono in trento
tutti e trentatrè trotterellando

Tre tigri contro tre tigri
tre tigri contro tre tigri

Sopra la panca la capra campa
sotto la panca la capra crepa

Ho dato il pane al cane pazzo
ho dato il pane al pazzo cane

Fila la fina spiga
fila la spiga fina

I want to learn Kari's English. I bet you have some great English phrases that you can teach us.

Does your girlfriend know you speak Klingon?

I don't actually speak it. I just got that stuff off the web. What do you guys think I am? Some kind of nerd? A big geek? Well I am most assuredly not!

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have to get back to optimizing this correllated subquery. I don't want to wind up working too late and miss my Warcraft guild's group raid on Lower Blackrock Spire! :nerd:[/URL]
