Well...this was one interesting flight. I wish I would have had my camera with me. I could have kicked myself!

When we took off this morning, it was thunder storming. I was completely thrilled! It was like nothing I have ever seen. We had to break through the storm clouds...which resulted in more turbulance than I have ever experienced. Lightning was flashing outside of the plane, grey clouds were whizzing by. And my face was stuck to the window the whole time. I'm a freak.
Anyway...flight went pretty normally after that...until we get into Texas.
All we see is clouds. Everywhere. I don't think much of it...just guessing we're at a high altitude above them. The FO announces over the PA that the fog over IAH is so bad that we had been put into a holding pattern for as long as our fuel could hold out...which was about 25 minutes. And if the fog hadn't cleared by then, we'd have to divert to HOU. So, we circled around and got dizzy for about half an hour before FO announced that we had been cleared for landing. I could feel the plane sinking, but we were still so far above the clouds...we dipped into the fluffy abyss and just about 10 seconds later...BUMP, we've landed on the runway. The guy in the seat next to me just about crapped his pants. I absolutely loved it...couldn't get enough of it! How the Captain saw where the heck he was going as we were taxiing to our gate...I don't know.
I'm a freak because I had fun on that flight.
Nothing eventful on the way home this evening...but we caught a tailwind, which got me back to MI quicker than anticipated!
