It is RAINING AGAIN!!!

I don't know if yall have watched the news... but California has been hit by one storm after another, after another, after another. I am SICK of the rain!

It rains with the wind. It rains at night. It rains in the daytime. It rains during meals. It rains during sleep. I AM SICK AND TIRED OF THE RAIN.

We will get half a day between storms... then it starts again. Almost two weeks solid rain. And it started again last night, and is suppose to rain till Sunday, or Monday, or who knows when it is going to stop. AND IT IS COLD!

I think I am being punished for bragging about our good weather! ha ha

Anyways... as usual on my way to work today going up the 15 I was sitting dead stopped in traffic (because people here have no idea how to drive in the rain) and watching planes take off from Ontario. I was sitting there, in traffic, stopped, going to work, in the rain, thinking... those lucky people... they are getting out of this mess. In a few minutes they are going to be above all this crap and in the sun!

I can't believe that I am actually wishing I was on a plane!

Sorry for the long rant. Can you tell I am sick of the rain???

Aaaww, but think of the gorgeous weather you get the other 50 weeks of the year :D

Not sure if you're the same as SF, but Michael says it doesn't rain all year long, then they get a good couple weeks of it. So, hang in there, you're almost over it!

This sucks! My hands are bleeding and I am drained.. Running around trying to keep my backyard fence from being victim to these high winds... I would let it fall and just have homeowners ins replace it, but I dont want to deal with my neighbors:scratch

when will it end!!!!!! get me out of cali!!!!

I'm sorry but I can't complain about a couple of weeks of rain compared to the weather back east. I ain't shovlin' snow so it is a good thing. Besides, Jeff and Mark live in a desert with WAY too many people trying to use way too little water. That is why all of our water is shipped down to them. We need this rain to keep supporting LA and to get out of the current drought! (Sorry, I will stop my rant now :blush )

Chelle, Michael is right. Our "rainy season" is generally late Nov through Mar. Other than that it tends to be dry and mild (except for the foggy summers in SF)

*Side note...A great book on the west and water is Cadillac Desert by Mark Reisner.

Hey! I don't live in the desert!

Oh yea... Southern California USE to be a desert till it got watered!

You are right... six months ago as I was choking on smog and dust, I was praying for rain! And Southern Cal does use up water. My buddy up at Lake Powell swears we are draining his lake!

But does an entire year's worth have to come in TWO WEEKS!

True, it has been more extreme than normal. I just know that in a few months, I am going to be complaining that it is to hot and I wish it would rain so I am triyng to enjoy it now.

I couldn't get to work this morning for a while. All the rain coupled with an unusually high tide and caused a lot of floods around here. The Bay was almost up over the seawall at my lab. It was crashing over it and creating some excitment.

We had 2 days of freezing rain here, that makes for some fun driving! (and makes flying feel like a walk in the park) :wired

LOL, seriously, I would trade just 1 week of weather with anyone from California for a Canadian winter :duck

Ok Chelle!!! You got us all beat! YIKES!

Thank you, I will take my liquid rain over freezing rain anyday.

Well, I just got back from California yesterday. We got a couple of days of good weather in before the rain hit.

But, I am happy to say that weather did not interfere with my flights either way from MSP to LAX!

So, weather people here in MN may forecast all the snow they want to from now until April, my next tentatively planned flight!
