Hi all -
First, I want to thank whoever made the suggestion in a thread about counting to 200 during take off. I did that on both flights today, and it worked wonderfully. :thumbsup:
I was pretty scared on the first flight from St. Louis to Chicago, on Southwest, but was able to calm myself down once we were done climbing. It was pretty bumpy, but thanks to Captain Ray's higway analogy it didn't really bother me.
The second flight into Pittsburg was much better. Take-off still gave me the willies, but I was really pretty calm for the rest of it. I had my eyes shut most of the time, though. It worked!
Big props to the Soutwest crew. They were extremely supportive.
These really were the first flights in I don't know how long where I wasnt' in a complete panic the entire way.
