I'm a new member and this is my first post.

I just received Capt. Ray's book and have already read it once. I already feel slightly more confident that I will survive my upcoming (Sept 7) flight to Key West via Atlanta. I haven't flown in 10 years and I have been dreading this  . I think my biggest fear is not being able to control my fear (if that makes any sense).

I have throughly enjoyed reading the posts on this site and was especially inspired by your story PassengerMark and am in awe of how far you have come!

Thanks all!!!!

Wow! Thanks!!!

And Welcome Aboard Taking Flight!

:welcome2:

It is not as complicated as it all sounds. Just a matter of taking a deep breathe, and letting loose of some of that control!

Now... I have to tell you that I am jealous. Key West!!

Never been, but it is on my list of places I want to see!

Again... Welcome!

Mae,

Have a relaxing trip. Once you get home you will wonder what all the fuss was about. REMEMBER that feeling for your next flight!

:ray:

PS Just remember: You are never in control. Control is just an illusion.

I've tried to post a few times and I seem to be doing something wrong so forgive me if this repeats itself. Oh wait, I think I'm just a dumbhead.

Anyway, thanks for the support! I'll let you know how I did. My confidence level seems to be pretty high (here on the ground). I have watched a few flying videos on YouTube and it seems to help me know what to expect as far as take offs - which is my biggest concern.

One week from now, I'll be halfway there!

Mae
