Hi everyone,
Some of you know that this will be our 15th I think visit to Orlando. We have annual passes for Disney and Sea World.
Where else can we go in Orlando to make it a little different this year.
Know about Space Center and Busch, looking for something different.

I assume you've been to downtown Disney as well? I found the Adventurer's Club to be lots of fun on my visit last year.

I live in Orlando, so I may be able to provide some advice. I've taken to hanging out a CityWalk at Universal a lot. The weather is still nice enough for the beach, so you could consider that. Sometimes I like to just explore the hotels at Disney. Wilderness Lodge, Polynesinan, Yacht and Beach Clubs... They are so nice and fun to just walk around!

Hotels! Yes that is a good idea! Are you allowed to park your car in Disney hotels?
What is City Walk like?
Not been to Islands of Adventure as we don't like coasters.

CityWalk = lots of bars and shops, kinda like Downtown Disney only all for grownups.
There are really only 2 coasters at IOA.. good time there. My Girlfriend is a manager there.
As far as Disney hotels are concerned, that's really one of my favorite things to do. Just tell the security guard you're coming in for lunch or dinner or whatever and they'll let you in. No fee for parking. It's one of the few things that you can do in Orlando for FREE!

Yep, definitely hit the Disney resorts. They are spectacular just to walk around. My faves are the Wilderness Lodge, Polynesian, Beach Club, Yacht Club and Boardwalk. I agree with the Adventurer's Club on Pleasure Island too - lots of fun!
I worked at Disney for 7 years (and briefly at Universal) but tend to favor the Downtown Disney area over Universal Citywalk myself. You'll be there long enough to check out both though! OH and don't forget the outlet malls on I-Drive.
For something a little more unusual head over to the west coast to Weeki Wachee to see the mermaids and then to Tarpon Springs for dinner at Pappas (great Greek food!).
Wish I could go with you! I'd love to play tour guide!!
Scott, how long has your girlfriend been with Universal? I worked there in 1991-1992.

Congrats to your sweetie, Scott. Where were you at Disney? I was there 1987 to 1993 (yep I overlapped Disney and Universal). Fun Fun! :mickey
