This seems to be the spam forum lately, so I just want to put a real message in here to send the forum good karma.
So here's a quiz (http://www.chatelaine.com/health/hye/article.jsp?content=20031215_164553_908&page=2) to find out how healthy you are.
I am apparently 78 percent healthy. I did worst on the food part.
70%? I'm going to sue that website. I pulled several muscles I didn't know existed trying to reach past my toes with my legs straight in front of me. Do I look like a contortionist?!

70%, but I got points taken off because my breast have not been examined!
Any volunteers? :rotflmao:
JK!!! I don't want to start another speedo type backlash!
Seriously... I loss major points on the food deal. Do people really eat that stuff they were describing?

Fried Chicken!!! Sounds like an appetizer to me. What about the rest of the menu...... hmmmmm...... what was the god-awful heart-attack-in-a-pan dish that Sean tried on one of his many jaunts???? It was steak and hollandaise and who knows what else. Whatever it's called, we can eat a whole bunch of those and wash it down with lots of beer, and maybe have some Chicken Fried Steak for dessert:tongue:

As the resident kale eater and whole wheat pancake promoter, I had to weigh in here. But ... only 75%!!! Heck, if that's as good as I can do making a real effort at it, I might as well go out for that fried chicken and beer, too. Or poutine. Or a big bowl of boiled peanuts. I'm hungry ...

How are you supposed to eat 10 servings of vegetables a day??? That's a lot of food. Every day for lunch I have a green salad and an apple, but that would only be 2 servings right?
I was just wondering that. I don't think I'd be able to eat ten servings of anything a day. Besides, isn't it supposed to be five?

It would probably be more. A "serving" is smaller than most people think. Your average non-side salad is at least two servings of veggies.
How much is a serving? (http://www.merck.com/pubs/mmanual_ha/tables/tb05_2.html)

Can I count peanut butter consumed in "cup" form?
As in a "chocolate cup"?;) I have way too many of those left over from trick or treat last night.

I got 93%. But then, I've always been an overachiever :D , so I am pissed I didn't get 100%.
Seriously, given my job, it would really be silly if I didn't score fairly well on this...I tell other people to do these things every day, so I would be a pretty bad example if I did not do them.
I would have scored worse if they had asked 2 additional questions:
1. How many cans of diet Coke do you drink every day?
and
2. How many pieces of candy corn do you eat when you are bored?
However, my luck, those questions were not included

I am only 65% healthy!
Apparently, I do not do enough strenous activities. Maybe that explains the 15lbs I've gained since I got married.

Yes, but that's only if your life goes as planned.
There are also the weight losses.
The I'm-ready-to-date-again 15 you lose. This sometimes comes after the first-big-breakup 15, which can be a gain or a loss, depending on the person.
The I-don't-care-how-I-look-the-rest-of-my-life-but-I'm-gonna-look-good-in-my-wedding-pictures-darnit 15.
The I-can't-afford-parking-so-I-take-the-bus-and-walk-ten-blocks 15.
It's all relative.

It's true, there are times that you will drop a few lbs. under certain circumstances...I loose weight when I stress over things (which is a lot lately) but then once I'm comfortable again, I'll start eating more and then it builds back up again. I weighed 115 lbs when I graduated high school. That was bone thin seeing as how I am 5'9" tall. That's pretty tall for a woman, my husband is shorter than me if I wear heels. So, now...I weigh in at a whopping 152 lbs. The biggest I've ever been my whole entire life. Of course, I actually feel better now that I've gained the weight, and I look better...but I'm hoping this isn't a snowball effect and I end up looking like a refridgerator or something! Don lost 25 lbs before we got married (the doc had just told him he was a type 2 diabetic) but now he's gained it almost all back. He is still watching his carbs and sugars but he's plumped back up a little. Call me nuts, but I like him better with some meat on his bones. :D
