All of my flights were pretty good, but I did let my mind go crazy a time or two and then quickly stopped it.
We left Fresno in a little SAAB prop plane. I turned on the air nozzle and noticed it turn on and off a few times during warmup. I guess with prop planes, they only start one prop at a time?? I found myself wondering if they knew only one engine was turned on:confused: It was a nice flight to LAX and before long, we were onboard a 757 to JFK. Only during takeoff was I nervous. It seemed we were over the ocean longer than normal and I thought about the plane that crashed nearby. I forget the #, but was it the airbus? Anyways, I figured something was wrong and the crew was checking it out over water to save people on the ground from our debris:cry: The rest of the flight was beer and pay-per-view..

We get to JFK for the return trip. We get through security and have 1 hour to kill. Around 6 am I decided I was tired of feeling anxious. "Give me a bloody mary to take the edge off!! " the reply "sorry sir, we dont serve alcohol on Sunday until noon":fuming: :fuming: :fuming: :fuming:

On the way back to LAX, I saw that Andrea was a little nervous. I think it had more to do with the busy busy week she had just experienced and the NYC traffic she watched me drive through.. Anyways, she asked me "if something happened to us, who would tell Brendon?" Brendon is my 15 year old I left at home (neighbor checked on him)... Immediately after she said it, she started apologizing. It didn't bother me and I let her know that.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this is your captain speaking. We are a bit delayed due to an indicator light we are talking to dispatch about." Andrea says "why do they have to tell us!!" I answer "Because it's no big deal to them and they are just letting us know what the hold up is." With so many safety systems, it is bound to happen. I compare it to cancelling a road trip because one of your three spare tires may have a slow leak. That may seem silly, but on a plane, they take soo many precautions for our safety. Not sure what it was, but thats where I use my imagination to help rather than hinder..

I was somewhat nervous the first hour of this flight. I would look over two seats and see my daughter rocking out to music. She would turn to me and give me a big smile.. Peace!!!:sunshine: Watched a couple more movies.. About 3/4 of the way to LAX, I was bored. I was secretly wishing we would have some turbulence to add a little excitement!

The few times we did have bumps, they were tiny and the F.O. would come on and explain it was just "light chop" and the seatbelt sign would be on and he wouldn't forget to turn it back off.

The flight from LAX to Fresno was a little bumpy, but it was ok. The fa had been told he had to work an extra shift. He was grumpy, but talkative. Arrived in Fresno and took the 2 hour drive home. Went to bed at 7 pm and just woke up a couple hours ago:lol:

Wow! Great report Jeff! Just think how in the past something as simple as an announcement about a light would have freaked you out, but you handled it like what it was... nothing!

Congrats on another successful flight!
