Honey-roasted peanuts? Pretzels? What airline gives out the best snacks and meals?

I myself enjoy the old standard, honey roasted peanuts. On longer flights, I like the boxed lunch or snack or whatever they call it, because most of the time it's just a turkey sandwich or something, and you can't really screw that up.

I've never really had bad airplane food, despite the old joke about how it's always awful, etc. I don't care for the in-flight breakfast, however, because they give you cereal and milk, and I'm really clumsy and always afraid I'll spill it all over.

I always loved the honey roasted peanuts that Southwest gave out. However, they stopped giving them out about two or three years ago. I was very sad about that! :cry

I got some on my flight on Sunday. :scratch

I certainly hope they weren't two or three years old! :blech

We had some nummy (as my nephew says) cookies last time I flew Delta. They were plain, rectangular, biscuity cookies, reminded me of the Pepperidge Farm "Bourdeaux" I think they are called.

The whole flight I was looking wistfully after the FA for another packet. :(

You should write a letter to Delta suggesting that to better serve their fearful flyers they should give them extra cookies.

Not sure if they'd go for it, but it's worth a shot.

I got peanuts on recent Southwest flights too. The funny thing is that the packages are stamped with a warning: "Produced at a plant that processes peanuts." (I'm not making this up.)

Favorite airplane food ... I dunno. Nowadays, I guess I like the boxed Bennigan's lunches you can buy for $10 on United's longer flights. I don't know what the other airlines are doing.

"Produced at a plant that processes peanuts."

I don't know...I'd be worried if it said anything else on a bag of PEANUTS. :shocked

It's just funny how they have to put those warning labels on there because of lawsuits and such.
