View Full Version : This is one of those times it's best not to ask....

I am so swallowing my pride to ask this, because it's kind of like asking someone if they have a mint condition New Kids On The Block poster...but....
Have any of you in England heard of a Swedish (I think) pop singer called Gunther? :band There's this goofy video of his all over the internet, and my friends and I think it's hysterical, but if he does have an album, it isn't sold here. (I'm not entirely convinced it's not some big joke, because this guy is just out there).
Anyway, I was wondering, if it's not too embarrassing for you to go into a store and buy it, could one of you buy the album for me and send it to me? I'd reimburse you, of course.
Please do not judge me by my wanting this album. It's more of a joke than anything. And if you are a Gunther fan, I apologize for disparaging this man of great talent. :noevil

That's okay. You don't have to go to much trouble.
He just has this ridiculous song that I think I really need to have on a CD. But I may be able to download it and burn it.

Hi,
well my dj friend HAS heard of Gunther - a very cheesy pop artist! He has even got a one of his singles on cd. He said he will copy it for you and if he can find his other copy - then he will let you have this one.( it is only a single, not an album) let me know if you want a copy. ( poor you !!)

Yes, the Ding Dong Song. That is it. Did your friend play you the song? It truly is cheesy. But what else do you expect from a guy who wears a mullet and sticks his lips way out to look cool?
If your friend could burn it for me, I would be your friend forever.

It's hysterical if you see his face too. Check out his website (www.gunthernet.com). He really is a shining star.
And hey, if you're going to the trouble of shipping a CD single across the pond for me, could you throw in a few Penguin cookies? I love those things, and of course am happy to reimburse you for those as well.

Thanks so much! I'm very excited to have the Ding Dong Song available to me whenever I need it.
Please do not judge me on this. I'm actually quite normal, except for this Gunther thing, which is a bit of an obsession, I admit. I even made a Gunther tee shirt for myself.

I told you! It is possibly the best song to ever come from a man with a mullet.
I am proud but a little ashamed to say that I made one of my friends a tee shirt with that picture of Gunther and those girls draped over him. Only I Photoshopped her face and my face onto the girls' faces, so it's Gunther and us.
She actually wore the shirt to class and told all of her friends about the Ding Dong Song. That was a little embarrassing, since I went to class with her that day and met all of those people for the first time. "This is my friend Erika, and this is the tee shirt she made me. Look, she's on the shirt too, with me and this Swedish pop sensation."
