I thought I had a month, but the doctors office called and said they have an opening for surgery on the 5th, which is next wednesday! Talk about not giving someone time to prepare, jeez!

Oh well, at least I won't have a month to dread it huh.

Oh well, at least I won't have a month to dread it huh.Exactly! This is very good. I believe this is one of glamtart's secrets to fearless flying ... she flies standby a lot so when something develops, she just ... goes!!! :hyped:

Glad you can see the positive side to this!

Paula...Wishing you the best, and that it all goes smoothly. You've certainly got the right attitude...get it done and over with...minimize the anticipatory anxiety!

Surgery is tomorrow, and I'm feeling ok about it. Not sleeping well, but not sure if its nerves or just generic insomnia!

Hope everyone is having a happy 4th! Talk to you all soon.

Made it!

Was scared when I got to the hospital and they started sticking needles in me  but then I was out like a light! Woke up crying and disoriented but I guess thats usual. Lots of stitches and surgical "super glue"! Very sore today, thank god for demerol!

Going to try to go to work a little while tomorrow, just depends on how I feel in the morning.

Thanks everyone!

No, I just really need the money! lol. They told me to take off whatever time I need, so I'll just wait and see how I feel.

Back to work today finally! I'm doing ok, not too sore, but I have gotten used to taking a nap each day and now I could really use one! lol.

Hope everyone is doing well and had a good 4th of July. I did get to watch some fireworks, just had to leave right after since the surgery was early the next morning.

I do have to say this surgical glue is interesting. Its starting to peel up at the edges and should be coming off any day now. It does seem easier than stitches that need to be removed.
