Inspired by whoever posted that Anais Nin quote...
What is your favorite inspirational quote that you believe applies to fear of flying?
My answer:
"Some days are easy, like licking icing off a spoon. Some are harder, like trying to staple jello to a brick."

That one by Mark Twain....
Someone posted it here, somewhere... I can't find it!
Something about regreting in later years what you did not do today.
Hopefully someone will re-post it!

Mine would be from Rocky Horror Picture Show:
"There's a light
Over at the Frankenstein place"

Leslie, now that is a great quote. From a classic movie...
Erika, that was one of my quotes...are you familiar with Anais Nin? She wrote many, many journals back in the day. Beautiful command of language...and she also seemed to sleep with an awful lot of guys...

I've only heard of Anais Nin; I'm not that familiar with her work. But she sounds like my kind of writer. (The journals, I mean, and the quote, not the sleeping with a lot of guys...although those little eccentricities, if you will, make pretty good writers out of people sometimes. That's why I don't mind being afraid to fly so much).

Not sure how much this relates to flying but one of my favorite quotes has always been:
"As long as you don't change anything, I'm flexible!"
That describes me to a tee!

I think I saw a movie once about Henry Miller and Anais Nin and another nice lady. They were a frisky bunch.

My favorite quote related to flying is still :
"Joey, have you ever been in a Turkish prison?"
