Greetings RoyD.

I guess I am what you would call a white knuckle flyer. I fly but don't like it. 10 years ago I took a flight on U.S. air out of Texas during bad weather on a 737. The fight was extremely turbulent for the about 20 minutes and then was fine the rest of the way into Burbank CA. Something in my brain got flipped in that flight and I hate to fly. However do to business committments and my wifes wanting to travel I am forced to fly. That said this week (Thursday) evening I will be taking a British Air flight from LAX to Heathrow. How are those flights typically RE Turb? I think the flight is about 10 hours and am dreading every minute of it.
Thanks for taking the time to answer this.

You might get a little turbulence close to the ground. Once in the cruise the only problems would be jet streams. The good news is they are very weak in the Summer months. Most of your 10 hour flight should be smooth.
