Only in an airplane can you experience simply breathtaking views like this:

Clouds make for bumpy flights sometimes but I will put up with that just to catch a glimpse of things like this.

It's my new desktop background. :cool:

I hope it inspires me to want to see the sky up close more, as on our walk tonight a little plane went over and my hub said he liked the perspective being in the sky gives ... at that precise moment I was thinking how much I enjoyed looking at the sky just from the ground. :blush:

But yes, that scene is undeniably magnificent.

Those are great! You can actually somewhat see the curvature of the earth at that height.

I'm a bit envious - all the flying I did the last 2 weeks, and I never had a good window view! I think I missed sunset over northern Canada.

But I don't think it was anything like these pictures. These are astonishing! Thanks for sharing them.

I HAVE to look out the window. If I don't I get airsick and dizzy and I start to panic. Most of my flights were just over clouds, so I didn't get to see much scenery and missed the mountains completely!
