Midwest Fest?

I am very jealous of all of you who have gone to Flightfests. So I propose to have one in Chicago. I think there's been one in Chicago before, but I can't remember, because obviously I didn't make it. But if there was another one I would definitely make it, and I might even bring my Gunther CD. (But don't let that deter you if you want to have one here).

I'd love to fly to a Flightfest in Chicago. I'd probably go on Southwest to Midway. I've only been to Chicago twice, and I flew into and out of O'Hare both times. (I also went through O'Hare on a connection once.) But both times I was in Chicago, I took public transportation to Midway to see what it was like. The first time, in 1983, I had to take a bus there. By the second time, in 1997, the el/subway had been extended there.

Depends on when it was and what I had going on at the time, but that would be great! I have a brother in Chicago that i don't get to see very often as well. If you're not going to have one here in Richmond where I wouldn't have to fly, lol, then Chicago would be a good choice.

I had a dream last night that we had a Flightfest here, and a bunch of people came, including Ray. He looked different than his picture, but he was kinda dreamy. :blush:

I definitely recommend flying into Midway. O'Hare is a madhouse, and traffic isn't the best. Midway is in the middle of the city, so it's a little more accessible, and much more manageable.

I'd be happy to help plan if you all want to come out here.

Erika - Ray IS kind of dreamy... even Scott thinks so. I agree ORD is a pain but they have a fab bagel joint with yummmmmy pizza bagels!

Well, in case y'all haven't read it in the Club TF forum, I'm in another play. I don't think I have to get naked for this one, so if you want to have a Flightfest in early July, you're all invited to hear me belt out "Freddy My Love" in Grease.

July 4th week would be rough with flight prices b/c of the holiday. Also July 4th is my Mom's 81st bday so I would be shot if I went out of town. :rolleyes:

I think a midwest flightfest (hey, it even rhymes) would be great. Spring would be best for me, but since I'll probably be travelling to Chicago failry regularly to visit mon ami (translation: boyfriend), it'll be double the adventure (and hopefully double the fun!).
