What a whirlwind weekend in the Big Apple!

We met for a nice Italian Dinner at Stella Osteria just around the corner from Times Square on Friday nite. The food was amazing!

Marco enjoyed the special - red snapper. YUM!

Flightfest NYC continued Saturday with a special guided tour of West Point and lunch at Schades Restaurant in Highland Falls, NY.

Mark & Susan took the train up from NYC to Garrison, a picturesque station across the Hudson River from West Point.

All day Mark wrestled with the idea of becoming a true West Point cadet.

The skies were overcast all day so Marco didn't get to fly up to meet us. The scenery was gorgeous - what a great historic place to visit.

Thanks for organizing this event since we had a great time at dinner and at West Point. Another Flight Fest with the bonus of meeting more members/friends for the first time, Marco and Helen and Kelley's Brett, and seeing TF friends again, Kelley!

I'll post some photos when we're back home with a better Internet connection.

I urge others to take advantage of future flight fests since a major function is to get you on the plane and fly! They are for fun destinations with no pressures or other anxieties of work or family. Flight fests are therapy at its best...you can relax and put full attention on flying!

Now it's time to look for breakfast in Manhattan!

Sadly I couldn't make it on Saturday. Weather was not cooperating and I was feeling decidedly on the "sick/cold" side ... I called Kelley at around 9:30 Am and went straight back to bed and slept another 4 hours ...

Glad to meet you all and hope we'll do this again.
