Do you have any New Year's resolutions for 2005?

My answer:
Nope. I typically make my resolutions on my birthday.

I am one of those annoying people who makes lists all the time of the things she is going to accomplish. So I haven't done the New Years one yet, but I pretty much know what will be on it...

1. Kick myself in the butt to spend more time on creative projects (writing, drawing etc) and less time vegging. I like these things and am good at them, but they always get the shaft in terms of time.

2. I'm hoping to compete in the CRASH-B sprints, which is an indoor rowing championship in the Boston area in February. If I'm not ready in time, I would like to do one of the "lesser" indoor rowing competitions in the Northeast.

3. Fly more...no problem there!

4. Work on the fashion thing more - this one will be easily abandoned, but I've been in Alabama for 2 weeks and everyone I meet is, like, coiffed, with excellent clothes. And here I am, baggy sweater woman.

Those are the main ones...I'm also getting hitched this summer, so it will be a busy year in any case.

Kelley, you've got to get your boys to come to Chicago! It's the Midwest; you know they've got to have fans here!

Erika,

Find us a festival or a venue that will pay us enough to break even and we are THERE!

Hmm...yeah, that's not really my department.

But if you come I'll bake you some cookies. And you can't put a price on that.

So, Kelley...

what would it take to bring Shiloh to Austin?
I know people who know people who could make it happen. You may PM me with some numbers if you like--expenses, lead time, what you'd need to be happening on this end and by when, etc.

Austin has a HUGE music festival (South by Southwest) every March, but my guess is that it's a bit late to arrange for Shiloh for 2005. I know people involved with it, though.

Anyway, lemme know!! :kneeslap

Sure Barb! Check your inbox.

Also, I havent given up the search for the ability to convert your tape!!!!! We are in the process of purchasing a recording studio in Nashville that should have the right equipment. (I really thought this would be an easier quest!).

Will play for cookies. :band What kind of cookies, Erika? Can we stay at your house? (How big is your driveway - can we fit a 50 foot tour bus in it?) We are really low maintenance :rotflmao (just feed us - 12 guys and ME)...

:)

Umm...I don't have a driveway, but there's ample street parking, and I make excellent cookies of all types, so take your pick.

And...if you come to Chicago, Gunther tee shirts all around! (Of course, that might make you want to stay away).
