Mini Flight Fest in Orlando!!!!

It's always great to meet people from the board, and tonight was no exception. Tonight, I got to meet Agne, Claudio, and Agne's parents!!! We had a couple of beers at "Big River Brewery" at Disney's Boardwalk Resort. It was great to get together and have some conversation! Here are a few pics from tonight. We are talking about getting together later in the week when we have more time, so more pics may follow. Enjoy!

Great pictures, thanks! Forgive off-topic question, but I just gotta ask ... did any of you do the "Twilight Zone Tower of Terror"? My brother recently rode it (about 10 billion times) and says it is the BEST ride at Disneyworld. His description made me want to take a special trip to DW just to experience it ...

I have ridden Tower of Terror a few times. If you like big drops then this is the ride for you. It used to be just the one BIG one but now it goes thru a random cycle so you get a series of 4 to 5 drops - never knowing when the BIG one is coming. The theming is true Disney magic. One of my Disney trainers from 1988 works there now and she always backdoors us if she is working. :)

Go if you get a chance! Right next to it is the Rock N Roller Coaster featuring Aerosmith. It is an indoor roller coaster with a cool corkscrew. I have braved this one ONCE. Takeoff is a bit intense for me - 0 to 60 in 2.3 seconds or something like that.

Those beers were super!!

We are having a great time here in Florida, we visited St.Augustine, Tampa and yesterday we went to Epcot. We wanted to go to Miami today but my mother changed her mind (she prefers to stay here) so we are doing some shopping here.

I don't know if I have access to the internet again in the next days..

Hello from Italy! I landed in Bologna in the afternoon, after a wonderful week in Florida. It's cloudy here and the temperature is around 3°C. I miss the sun already. :sunshine:

Sean, no problem! We plan to go to Florida again in the future - maybe without my parents :) - I'm kidding, we had a great time all together.

About the flights, I experienced almost everything this time: overbooking, cancellations, technical problems (on the ground) and turbulence. I'll tell you more in the trip report!

Scott, how are you? It's like we just met for lunch. But it was yesterday. Oh, I hate the jetlag.:confused:

We live about 10 minutes due north of downtown St. Petersburg. :sigh: Been to The Pier 100s of times; hope you enjoyed our little quiet downtown that is quickly being taken over by many large and small luxury condominium towers.
