The Flight Log Forum is for members to post their flight info such as dates, airline, route, destinations, etc. You can also go to Great Circle Mapping (http://gc.kls2.com/) and make a map of your journey, save the image, and attach it to your post. This is a test (BETA) forum to work out the kinks. THANKS TO SEAN AND KELLEY FOR AN EXCELLENT SUGGESTION!
Below is an example of a post
December 30, 2005 - January 6, 2006 / Nashville TN to Ontario CA & Return - Southwest Airlines - 3,658 Miles

I have a question about how this'll work, Mark. To keep a log here, do I make a single post and then continue to update it?
For example, say I fly to Philly next week -- my first flight of this year. Do I make a post entitled "Leslie's 2006 Flights," and then just continue to edit (add to) the original post as I make subsequent flights?
Also I have an idea that might be fun -- TAIL NUMBERS. I have a coworker who keeps a log of his flights, and he logs his planes' tail numbers in addition to the other info. Since every plane's tail number is unique, he knows when he's on a plane he's ridden before. (And, as he loves to tell me, "I had ridden on that Pan Am plane that crashed at Tenerife.")
I was thinking that as much as the frequent flyers here fly Delta, there might be scenarios where, say, Ken ends up on a plane Kelley has ridden, etc. And maybe I will find a kindred United soul too.
Anyway, I think I will log tail numbers along with my flights. Now I just have to figure out how I find the tail number. (Don't say, "It's on the tail.") :)

Hey Leslie...
Either way is fine.
You can make one post and continue to edit it as your flights come up, or make a new post for each flight.
Personally I am going to make a new post for each flight or trip.
I like the tail number idea. That is really good. I bet some of us have been on the same plane! I am going to add that as well.

I am new here, so I don't know how many people know about this but flightmemory.com (http://www.takingflight.us/forums/flightmemory.com) is very cool. They have a free and paid version. You enter your flights and generate a map. Might help in compiling flight logs and also maps.

Wow! That's fantastic, CanarsieApproach! You must've kept a paper flight log long before this tool became available.
What's with the 47-hour flight from New York to Florida?

Oops!
I think that is the cat walking on the keyboard effect.

I love cats, why do they always have to be in the middle of things :)
